The IRTG Diversity is a transatlantic research group, but this does not only mean that we are based on both sides of the Atlantic, at the Université de Montréal, at Trier University, and at Saarland University. More importantly, our respective academic endeavours (see: People - Doctoral Candidates) are also international in scope. During extended mobility phases, the IRTG Diversity's young scholars advance their research projects in North America and in Europe, making use of archives and university libraries, conducting interviews, finding empirical evidence, entering into exchanges with international experts. The IRTG diversity's first mobility phase saw our doctoral candidates travel to and stay in Montreal, Ottawa, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Washington, D.C., Paris, Budapest, northern Italy, southern France.
